Welcome to the French Alps and the beginning of your Bikey Tours adventure!

We'll meet you at Geneva Airport and transfer you to our home for the next three nights in the beautiful lakeside town of Annecy.

Once you've settled in, we'll get the bikes ready, introduce you to your fellow riders and enjoy a relaxed introductory ride along the eastern shores of Lake Annecy.

Our approximately 26 km route takes us towards picturesque Talloires and back, with stunning views across the turquoise lake and surrounding Alpine mountains.

Along the way, enjoy your first taste of the French Alps, with charming lakeside villages, beautiful scenery and the opportunity to admire the historic Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard.

We'll finish with a safety briefing and a welcome dinner, bringing everyone together before the mountain adventures begin.

Today we begin exploring the beautiful mountains surrounding Lake Annecy, with our first proper Alpine climb into the spectacular Bauges region.

After breakfast, we'll ride along the lake towards Saint-Jorioz before beginning the steady ascent of the Col de Leschaux, reaching approximately 897 metres above sea level.

The climb offers a wonderful introduction to Alpine riding, with sweeping views, peaceful mountain roads and plenty of opportunities to settle into your own rhythm.

From the col, we'll continue into the Bauges, stopping for coffee in the charming village of Le Châtelard and enjoying the region's traditional mountain atmosphere.

Along the way, discover the landscapes of the Bauges UNESCO Global Geopark, local villages and the region's famous Tome des Bauges cheese.

We'll return to Annecy with time to relax, explore the old town or enjoy an afternoon beside the lake.

Today's ride: Approximately 60 km | 800 m climbing.

Our support team will help everyone find a comfortable pace, with regrouping opportunities along the route.

Today promises to be one of the highlights of our French Alps adventure as we take on the legendary Grand Colombier and aim to experience the excitement of the Tour de France.

We'll depart Annecy and ride through the beautiful countryside towards Rumilly and Seyssel, following the Rhône valley towards the village of Culoz.

From here, the challenge begins as we tackle the famous Grand Colombier, a spectacular climb of approximately 18 km averaging around 7%, with steeper sections exceeding 12%.

The mountain has become one of the Tour de France's celebrated battlegrounds, offering extraordinary views across the Rhône valley, Lac du Bourget and, on a clear day, Mont Blanc.

Our plan is to combine this iconic riding experience with an opportunity to watch the professional peloton during the 2027 Tour de France, subject to confirmation of the official stage route, road access and viewing arrangements.

After our mountain adventure, we'll return to Annecy by support vehicle, giving everyone the chance to recover and enjoy a relaxed evening.

Today's ride: Approximately 73 km | 1,550 m climbing.

This is a challenging mountain day. Vehicle-supported return arrangements are planned, with riding and race-viewing logistics subject to confirmation.

Today we leave the beautiful shores of Lake Annecy and journey deeper into the French Alps, travelling to our second home for the tour in the famous cycling town of Le Bourg-d'Oisans.

After breakfast, we'll transfer by vehicle through spectacular mountain scenery, with the journey taking approximately two and a half hours.

Once we've settled into our accommodation, there'll be an opportunity to enjoy a gentle afternoon ride into the beautiful Vénéon valley towards the picturesque village of Venosc.

Surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Écrins mountains, this relaxed ride offers magnificent scenery without the demands of a major Alpine climb.

There's time to explore Venosc's traditional streets, artisan shops and mountain atmosphere, or simply enjoy a coffee and take in the views.

For those who prefer a rest day after the Grand Colombier, the afternoon is yours to relax and recharge before the legendary climbs ahead.

Today's ride: Approximately 26 km | 300 m climbing (optional).

Today's priority is our transfer to Le Bourg-d'Oisans. The afternoon ride is optional, with plenty of flexibility to rest and recover.

Today's focus: Explore somewhere new. Recover. Get ready for the legends.

Today we ride one of the most famous climbs in cycling history — the legendary Alpe d'Huez and its unforgettable 21 hairpin bends.

After breakfast, we'll roll out from Le Bourg-d'Oisans and begin the iconic 13.8 km ascent towards Alpe d'Huez, climbing approximately 1,100 metres at an average gradient of around 8%.

Each hairpin tells a story from the Tour de France, with plaques celebrating past stage winners and breathtaking views unfolding as we climb higher into the mountains.

There's no race clock today. Take your time, find your rhythm and enjoy the extraordinary feeling of riding a road that has produced some of cycling's greatest moments.

After reaching the summit, we'll regroup for photographs and a well-earned coffee before continuing along the spectacular balcony road towards Villard-Reculas.

Our return journey takes us past Lac du Verney, surrounded by beautiful Alpine scenery, before arriving back in Le Bourg-d'Oisans.

In the evening, we'll prepare for tomorrow's adventure to the mighty Col du Galibier.

Today's ride: Approximately 45 km | 1,200 m climbing.

We'll allow time for different climbing speeds, with regrouping points and ride support to help everyone enjoy this iconic experience.

Today's focus: Conquer the 21 hairpins. Ride a legend. Celebrate the achievement.

Today we head into the high mountains for one of the great adventures of our French Alps tour — the magnificent Col du Galibier.

It's also Bastille Day, France's national day, adding a special sense of occasion to our journey through this spectacular part of the country.

We'll leave Le Bourg-d'Oisans and follow the mountain road past Lac du Chambon towards La Grave, with incredible views of the glaciers and towering peaks of La Meije.

The road climbs steadily towards the Col du Lautaret at approximately 2,058 metres, before we take on the final ascent to the legendary Col du Galibier, reaching an altitude of 2,642 metres.

This is one of cycling's truly iconic mountain passes, with extraordinary Alpine panoramas and a place in the history of the Tour de France.

We'll take time to enjoy the summit, capture photographs and appreciate the achievement before descending and returning towards Le Bourg-d'Oisans.

For guests wanting a shorter mountain experience, Nick has proposed a vehicle-assisted option starting from La Grave, allowing riders to enjoy the Lautaret and Galibier without completing the full distance.

Today's ride: Approximately 97 km | 2,100 m climbing.

Shorter and more challenging route options are being assessed. Final availability will depend on rider ability, weather, guide coverage and support vehicle arrangements.

Our final riding day is all about enjoying the beauty of the French Alps, reflecting on the adventures we've shared and making the most of our last day together on the bikes.

After breakfast, we'll head towards the beautiful Col d'Ornon, a scenic mountain climb reaching approximately 1,371 metres above sea level.

With a steady gradient of around 5.5% over approximately 11 km, it's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy one more Alpine ascent without the intensity of our bigger mountain days.

We'll stop for coffee at the col, take in the surrounding mountain views and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this beautiful part of France.

Our journey continues towards Lac du Verney and the village of Allemond, where we'll enjoy a leisurely lunch and celebrate the incredible roads we've ridden throughout the week.

For those still looking for an additional challenge, alternative routes towards Les Deux Alpes or the Col de la Croix de Fer may be possible, subject to support arrangements and group preferences.

We'll return to Le Bourg-d'Oisans with time to relax before gathering for our farewell dinner — a chance to share stories, celebrate achievements and enjoy one last evening together.

After eight unforgettable days exploring the legendary roads of the French Alps, it's time to say farewell to our fellow riders and begin the journey home.

We'll enjoy a final breakfast together in Le Bourg-d'Oisans before preparing for our departure transfers.

From the sparkling waters of Lake Annecy to the famous hairpins of Alpe d'Huez and the towering summit of the Col du Galibier, we've shared an incredible journey through some of the world's most celebrated cycling destinations.

Along the way, we've discovered beautiful French villages, enjoyed wonderful food and created memories and friendships that will last well beyond the final ride.

Our team will assist with departure arrangements and transfers to Grenoble Airport, approximately one hour from Le Bourg-d'Oisans.
